Meeting Information The Fenton Finders of Greater Kansas City Meet on the second Saturday of every month except January. Most December meetings are a gathering for dinner at a local restaurant to celebrate the holidays, play dirty bingo and enjoy each other’s company. The meeting start at 7:00PM and are held at the Raytown, Missouri city hall. The address is: 10000 East 59th Street, Raytown, Mo. 64159 Mapquest map of Raytown City Hall The meeting generally follows Robert’s Rules of Order. The President presides over each meeting and the Vice President will fill in the Presidents’ absence. The secretary prepares a monthly newsletter and since we do not meet in January, the secretary will usually get some time off. Following the minutes of the last meeting and the treasurers report, a review of old business is considered for additional information, research or project completion. New business is considered and any member in attendance is welcome to bring up ideas or issues during this time. Following this section the group will be entertained by a program. This may be a member that brings a particular type of glass to share. That member will educate the group about their knowledge of the show and the group is also welcome to share what they know or what they would like to know. An open exchange is often had with improved knowledge generally the outcome. Following the program is a show and tell segment. Members will bring their latest finds in the market place. Sometimes glass is presented that was made by other American or international companies. This always proves to be fun and educational. Please click here to see pictures from past meetings. |
